FAQs

Q: Where do I start?

A: We require a picture lock show, the same as you would send for Closed Captioning and/or your audio post house.

Q: How much notice do I have to give you when my show will be at the stage needed for DV?

A: When we have a rough idea of when you will be ready we can put you on the schedule to ensure we have our writers ready to work on your show as soon as we receive it.

Q: Do I have to send my show to you on Digi Beta?

A: In most cases we work from Digital Betacam, since we can then insert the DV mixed audio directly back on to tape with the specs that your Broadcaster requests. We can also work from Betacam SP, DVCam. In these cases, we can provide you back an audio file and/or create a new master for you with the DV mix on the tape We can work from DVD or Quicktime files also. We would require the final audio mix to complete the project.

Q: How do I know what format I need to send to the Broadcaster?

A: We work with all the stations and are very familiar with the format they require.

Q: Do you work with High Definition?

A: We can work from HDCam, HDSR, however there will be extra costs. We recommend sending us a NTSV version and the final audio files. We can then output a final audio file or create a DA88 tape for layback at your post house.

Q: What if I want it on DA88?

A: Yes we can work from DA88 and create DA88 tapes

Q: Can you do the encoding?

A: We can do Closed Captioning encoding. A new master tape will need to be created that has the CC and the DV mix on it.

Q: Do you do closed captioning?

A: We work closely with 2 closed captioning companies and can do the encoding for you as well, so your show is completed and ready to go directly to the broadcaster.

Q: What if my timelines are very tight?

A: Our studio is open 7 days a week we always do our best to complete the show within the timelines you have.

Q: Can you work with Quicktime & Audio Files?

A: Yes, we can work from almost all types of files, please contact us for more detailed information.
